I can't connect on Android

Before troubleshooting, please make sure:

  • You are connected to the internet (check if you can open any website online)
  • You have the latest Hotspot Shield version installed from the app store or click here
  • Your Android is NOT rooted
  • A 3rd party app is not interfering with Internet Settings 'For example, a sensitive Firewall or another VPN application.
  1. Settings > Manage Apps > Hotspot Shield > In App info tap Clear data
  2. Restart your phone
  3. Disable "Smart network switch” (Available on some devices) : Settings > Wi-Fi > uncheck Smart network switch.
  4. Connect Hotspot Shield
  5. Important: Sign in to your account or create one

If the steps above don’t help connect to a different network (for example, if you were connected to Wi-Fi, try connecting to your mobile data network or another Wi-Fi)

If the steps above didn't solve the issue, please contact our Support Team and include the following:

  1. Your username
  2. Manufacturer and model of your device
  3. Android OS version
  4. A screenshot of any errors
  5. Country you are connecting from
