"System error"

Before troubleshooting, please make sure:

  • You are connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or mobile data network
  • Your device is not jailbroken
  • A 3rd party app is not interfering with Internet Settings 'For example, a sensitive Firewall or another VPN application.'
  1. Try to reinstall the app's profile, it should fix the issue;
    • From iOS settings > General > Profile
    • Select Hotspot Shield Profile
    • Delete Hotspot Shield Profile
  2. From Hotspot Shield icon: Run the App and try to connect
  3. Hotspot Shield will ask you to reinstall new profile, go ahead and do so
  4. From iOS settings > VPN > Connect switch the button (please note UI on/off button will be off all the time)

If the steps above don't work and you are located in any of the following countries: Pakistan, Iran, Oman, Qatar, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia

  • Click "Contact Support" 
  • Provide a description of the issue and a screenshot (If possible)
