For free accounts, you will have the option to select from 5 different locations:
- Auto
- Los Angeles
- New York
- Singapore
- United Kingdom
Premium users can choose and switch between 100+ Virtual Locations. If you have a Premium subscription, make sure you are signed in to your Premium account to enable all Premium benefits, including all Virtual Locations.
Changing Virtual Locations
To change your Virtual Location:

Tap Virtual Locations at the bottom of the screen.
- Select your desired location, and Hotspot Shield will automatically connect to that location.
Hotspot Shield will connect to the selected virtual location, which will be reflected on the home screen. You can verify the virtual location you are connected to by going to https://www.maxmind.com/en/locate-my-ip-address.
