Troubleshooting your internet connection

If you experience issues connecting to the internet when Hotspot Shield VPN is on, try restarting Hotspot Shield VPN.

To restart Hotspot Shield VPN: 

  1. Open Windows Phone Settings.
  2. Tap VPN.
  3. Tap the switch to turn VPN Off.
  4. Open a browser and check if you are able to access the internet.
  5. Return to Settings > VPN, and tap the switch to turn VPN On again.

If you still can't access the internet, try turning airplane mode on and off.

To switch airplane mode on and off:

  1. Open Windows Phone Settings.
  2. Tap airplane mode.
  3. Tap the switch On and Off.
  4. Open a browser and check if you are able to access the internet.

If switching airplane mode on and off didn't help, please restart your Windows Phone and check your internet connection again.
