How many devices can be connected to Hotspot Shield VPN simultaneously?

Read the information below to learn how many devices can be connected to Hotspot Shield VPN simultaneously, depending on the Hotspot Shield subscription you use. There’s also information about the devices we support, and the devices we’re working on, but don’t currently support.

Hotspot Shield Basic (free)

Free users can only link one (1) device to their account. To upgrade your maximum allowable devices on your account, purchase a Premium subscription.

Hotspot Shield Premium

Premium users can add up to five (5) devices to their Premium account simultaneously. 

From the Hotspot Shield app on your device, sign in to your Premium account to enjoy all your Premium benefits. Learn how to add devices to your Premium account.

Hotspot Shield is compatible with the devices listed below:

iOS devices running iOS 9.3.5 or later, including:

  • iPhone
  • iPad & iPad Mini
  • iPod Touch

Current unsupported devices

We’re working on it, but currently Hotspot Shield does not support these devices:

  • Gaming consoles (Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation, etc.)
  • Kindle tablets
  • Kodi
  • Routers
  • SmartTVs (Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung, etc.)
  • Windows phones
