How do I cancel the subscription I got through Apple?

Issue: I want to cancel my subscription that I purchased on my iOS device or through iTunes. How can I cancel?

How to cancel Hotspot Shield in iTunes

First: Please note that Apple's policy requires that you cancel your subscription through them directly only. Our Support team cannot cancel iTunes subscriptions. 

Before cancelling your subscription, please ensure that you are signed into the same Apple ID with which you originally purchased your Premium subscription.


iOS 10 and earlier

  1. Open the App Store. At the bottom, tap Featured
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap your Apple ID (You may need to sign in first)
  3. Select View Apple ID
  4. Under “Subscriptions,” tap Manage
  5. Select your "Hotspot Shield Premium" subscription
  6. Set auto-renewal to Off and then click Confirm to complete the cancellation.

iOS 11, 12 and 13

  1. Launch Settings
  2. Select iTunes & App Store
  3. Select your Apple ID
  4. Tap View Apple ID from the pop-up window
  5. Enter your Apple ID password or fingerprint ID
  6. Tap Subscriptions
  7. Select your "Hotspot Shield Premium" subscription
  8. Set auto-renewal to Off and then click Confirm to complete the cancellation.

NOTEIf Hotspot Shield is not listed under your subscriptions, it means that auto-renewal has already been canceled. If you run into any issue or problem while performing this cancellation, please contact Apple
