Why is Hotspot Shield not connecting?

We are sorry to hear that you are having problems connecting. Please confirm that you have the latest iOS version of our app on your device. If not, click this URL to download.

If you see the "No internet connection" error message, please confirm your internet connection is working before proceeding further. If you have made sure your internet connection is working, please follow these steps:

  1. Turn Hotspot Shield Protection ON
  2. Switch Airplane Mode ON and OFF
  3. Reinstall Hotspot Shield Profile
    • In the Hotspot Shield app, tap Settings > Re-install Profile
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to install a new profile
    • In the app, turn Protection ON
  4. Connect to a different network (for example, if you were connected to Wi-Fi, try connecting to your mobile data network or another Wi-Fi)
  5. Open Hotspot Shield > Turn Protection ON
