“This License Key is already in use” error

If you tried to redeem your Elite code, but got “This License Key is already in use,” then your Elite code has already been linked to an account.

Check your account history

If the Elite code is listed in your account history, you’re all set. Just sign in to your Elite account from the Hotspot Shield app on your device.

To view your account history, go to your Dashboard > View account history

Signed in but no Elite features? In the Hotspot Shield app, try signing out and signing back in to your Elite account.

Do you have a second account?

In some cases, an Elite code is linked to another account from the same customer. If you have another email that you used to create a different account or purchased your subscription, try signing in to your Dashboard with that email.

If you can’t redeem your Elite code, and it isn’t in your account history, please let us know and we’ll look into it.
