If you are using our application in Basic Mode, please be aware of the connectivity differences between being in Basic Mode and a Premium subscription.
Hotspot Shield's Basic Mode provides US IP addresses that allow users to access blocked content in the US only. The content that's accessible with being in Basic mode is limited. Hotspot Shield's Basic Mode is also supported by ads, If you want to have full access to US sites you will need to upgrade to Premium.

When in Basic Mode, you only have access to one device and you cannot choose your Virtual Location. You also have a 500 MB/day data limit and you will see ads via the Payment Wall.
You can always use our app for free, simply by closing out of the Payment Screen you get when you first install us. However, we hope you'll sign up for our seven-day Premium trial so that you can get even more out of Hotspot Shield, including personalized tech support reserved only for our Premium members.
