Can't link device to account


If you have problems to view the links in this article from blocked countries, please connect Hotspot Shield to US virtual location To link a device to your Elite subscription, sign in to your Hotspot Shield Elite account on that device.

  • You are connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or LAN
  • You are signed in to your Elite account (If you are free user, you can only link one device to your account)

If your device is connected to the internet and you still can't sign in to link the device, most probably you have reached the 5 device limit. To remove or unlink a device from your account you can sign out from that device or follow the steps below:

  1. Sign In to your account here -link for "here" (https://m.hsselite.com/sign-in)
  2. Select the device you want to remove > Click Remove Device
  3. Refresh the page and the device will be removed

You may need to create an account if you haven't yet created one or if your username in the account page is empty. To make sure your payment gets linked to the account you will create:

From the device you originally purchased the subscription on:

  • Click Settings on the top left > Account >sign in > sign up to create a new account
  • Sign in to your new account
  • Settings > Restore Purchase > enter the same Apple ID and password used to purchase the subscription
  • Sign in to your account from the device you'd like to link to the account

 If you have an account and you are signed in to the new device as a free user, please:

  • Restore purchase in the original device that you purchased the subscription
  • Sign in to your account from the device you'd like to link to the account
